It’s a Friday night. The football game is over, and it’s only 10 o’clock, how do you plan to spend the rest of your night? You could go home and sit around, watching TV and texting your friends to see if they want to play videogames; or you could go to Black Out Dance Club.

Black Out is an under 21 dance club on Morgantown Road at Walnut Ridge Golf Course. Live music, a dance floor, black lights, and four different DJs at different hours of the night make Black Out the perfect place to spend your weekends.

The club is open from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday night, and the DJs love their work.

“It’s hard to say I don’t love my job” said Kyle Frye, Co-DJ for the Dubstep group Apollo.

The music at Black Out is constantly blasting anything and everything teens want to hear. With requests taken at any time, the flow of the dance floor is always changing in intensity and excitement.

The DJs are experienced in reading the crowd and because of that, any genre imaginable is played each night.

Not only is the music hot, the concession stand is open and pool and air hockey tables are available.

The club is still up and coming. Even so, Apollo enjoys putting on a show for anyone interested every weekend. The dancing is indoors; rain or shine, the event will never be cancelled.

So next time you’re sitting around on a Friday night wondering what you should be doing, keep Black Out Dance Club in mind for a fun, safe, and cheap way to spend your weekend.

Admission is $5. Good music, friends, food, games, what reason do you have not to check it out?
